Accessibility is a top priority for this cloud provider, but the execution of accessibility is a challenge given their size and scale. By ‘chipping away’ at the issue incrementally and with focused efforts, the team was able to establish a plan for short-term gains, versus trying to tackle everything at once.
Gender inclusion 101
A foundational exercise in making design spaces more inclusive for transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse users. This presentation explores the relationships and nuances between words that center around gender identity, how to be a better ally in the workplace (getting better at pronouns and names), and examples of gender inclusion design considerations. I curate each presenation to the needs of the team so that they can be better advocates for gender inclusion.
